OAIRP Fall 2008 Conference

October 23-24, 2008

The OAIRP Executive Committee is pleased to announce that the 2008 Fall Meeting will be held on October 23-24 at the Fawcett Center on the campus of The Ohio State University. Workshops will be offered Thursday afternooon and the regular meeting will run from approximately 8:00am to 4:00pm on Friday.

Thursday afternoon workshops will include: "Advanced Techniques in Excel" and "Identifying and Analyzing Group Differences with Logistic Regression, Cluster Analyis, and Decision Trees."

The Executive Committee is in the process of planning an agenda for the Friday meeting that will include:

  • The "Clearinghouse Academy for Institutional Researchers" presented by the National Student Clearinghouse.
  • An IPEDS update including a review of the upcoming changes to the Race/Ethnicity reporting requirements.

Logistics
Hotel rooms have been reserved at the University Plaza Hotel, with a group rate of $99 per night plus tax. The group name is OAIRP. To get the group rate, you will need to book before September 19, 2008. After that, the remaining rooms in the block will be released. The hotel phone number is 614-267-7461 or 877-677-5292. You can arrange for free shuttle service to and from the meeting location on campus and leave your car parked at the hotel.
