OAIRP Fall 2006 Conference
Ohio State University
October 12-13th 2006

The OAIRP Executive Committee is pleased to announce that our Fall Meeting will be held October 12th and 13th at The Blackwell Hotel & Conference Center on the campus of The Ohio State University . A full and engaging schedule of events has been planned.

Please submit your registration form registration form in advance.

Thursday's schedule (10/12) will consist of a series of pre-meeting workshops from approximately 9:00 AM to 4:30 PM. Workshop topics will include: SPSS training, the IPEDS Peer Analysis System, and focus group methods in institutional research. Workshops will be located in Bricker Hall (BR) 035 (Basement) and Ag Administration (AA) 005.

Friday's program (10/13), lasting from 8:00 AM to 3:30 PM, will highlight a featured speaker from the National Survey of Student Engagement (NSSE), individual council meetings, and several presentations by colleagues. Friday's sessions will take place in Pfahl Hall (PF) 202 and the Blackwell Ballroom A.

Our keynote speaker on Friday will be Dr. Bob Gonyea, Associate Director, Research & Data Analysis at NSSE. Dr. Gonyea will share with us his expertise and experience in analyzing NSSE data and applying results in the college and university setting. Bob's Ed.D. is from Indiana University in higher education with a minor in educational inquiry methodology. Bob has been a research analyst with NSSE since 1999 and served as the project manager for the College Student Experiences Questionnaire from 1999-2005. His research interests include assessment of institutional quality, writing across the curriculum, male college students, civic engagement, and the contribution of student affairs to student learning.
